Hyssop Monastery Herb Extract

Hyssop Monastery Herb Extract

Hyssop, a close relative of thyme, sage and other mint family members, is primarily known as a Mediterranean herb. In traditional herbalism, however, it has a wide range of uses. It is often used for general strengthening, especially when one is overworked. In traditional spiritual monastic lore, hyssop is considered a powerful protective plant, clears thoughts and emotions and thus leads to new insights in order to take new paths. In the south, it is also often added to salads, sauces and, above all, heavy food to soften its effects.

Did you know? Nutritional information about it...

Hyssop is the star of herbalists throughout the centuries. It was widely mentioned by Dioscorides (a scholar at the time of the Roman Emperor Nero) and also by Hildegard von Bingen. In the south in particular, its leaves are often used in salads, sauces and soups. Hyssop is particularly popular with fatty foods. It is also a beautiful bee food and ornamental plant.

According to modern scientific standards, there is clear evidence of appetite-stimulating and digestive effects due to the aromatic-bitter taste of hyssop, although these were only suspected at significantly higher doses than with this dietary supplement.

(Please stick to the maximum daily intake of 15 drops recommended by the monks!).
