Did you know? Nutritional information about it...

The first people to use the purple coneflower were the natives of North America, namely the Indian tribes in what is now Missouri and Nebraska. The coneflower only became known to a wider public in the 1880s, after a white homeopath watched a squaw woman squeeze the coneflower juice and she told him that her people applied the juice to wounds and also drank it as a tea. The tests that followed seemed convincing, so the plant became more widespread over time.
