About the origin of your product

In the Benedictine monastery Gut Aich in the Austrian Salzkammergut, the monks use the ancient herbal knowledge accumulated over centuries for the traditional cultivation and production of their valuable products.

The careful handling of the herbs results in exceptional quality:

  • Traditional breeding & cultivation without the use of artificial fertilizers or chemical poisons.
  • If available, wild collection on untouched alpine pastures.
  • Selected from hand-picked fresh plants of the best quality.
  • Harvested at the best possible time for each individual.
  • Freshly processed immediately after harvest.

We say that the monks’ products are unparalleled!

Did you know? Nutritional information about it...

Originally imported to Europe from South America in 1684, nasturtiums quickly became a popular food and household remedy for all kinds of ailments. The leaves and beautiful flowers are ideal for use in salads or can be eaten pickled in vinegar with the fruit as a substitute for capers.

In the past, nasturtiums were particularly valued by sailors thanks to their high vitamin C content (approx. 300mg / 100g fresh weight). Experiments have also shown an antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal effect - probably due to the glucosinolate they contain - which is the subject of research. However, the dosage of this monastery herb extract is too low for such an effect (please do not exceed the recommended maximum consumption of 15 drops per day!).
